Great product from Everlast. Haven't had any problems yet.
In order to use the neck developer you must take it slow with smooth up and down neck movements. Do not jerk or cheat your movements.
Here's a tip on fitting it for you:

The actual head band that goes around your head will be loose until you adjust the band that goes OVER your head.
Use a light weight to try this first.

1. Sitting down, put the developer on normal with top band across the top of your head. Eyes straight ahead.
2. Hold chain and put on plate weight by inserting chain through hole in plate.
3. Holding the weight in your lap, hook chain to the other side of the developer.
4. Don't drop weight. Ease it down with one hand while holding top strap of developer with the other hand. As the weight goes down you'll feel the developer want to slip. Take your fingers on the top strap of developer and push the strap back as you lay your head down.
5. There should (may) be about an inch between the top strap and rear part of the head strap in back. As you push the top strap down you create added pressure from the developer to the back of your head as you release the weight.
6. That (the location of the top strap now on the back of your head and the weight of the plate) should hold the developer on and create a tight(er) fit. You'll feel it get tighter.
7. Now that your head is down and you are looking at the floor the top strap that went across the top of your head is now on the back of your head. Gently ease the weight up and don't jerk it. Obviously if you jerk the weight it will produce slack at the top of the movement with your eyes straight ahead and the product may loosen.

USe these steps and it WILL work.

If you're following any protocol of taking 10g bcaas around your workouts, save yourself the trouble of taking a fistful of pills. I'm not questioning the quality of bcaa content and like ON, but i'm now opening the caps and mixing the powder into a drink!

I'm a lifelong heavy lifter and Animal Pak fills every last nutritional hole I can think of, and then some. Aminos. Vitamins and minerals. Antioxidants. Digestive support. Natural energy. Throw in some of their creatine, Pumps, ZMA, and protein and my stack is complete (well, almost... I still replace their Cuts with BELDT: Force Thermogenic since it helps me lean out a lot easier). And I DEFINITELY feel when the Pak isn't there too, because everything suffers. Strength, recovery, stamina, all of it. Especially recovery. Tore my right quad three months back, so I doubled up the Paks (was only using 1 before) and cut my down-time almost in half.

I have a big head and it fits like a glove. Literally.
a strap would be nice.
The chain it came with is also a bit large in the S hook area. too much slack and it will disconnect. Tightened it down a tad with some pliers.
An instruction pamphlet would have been a nice touch, as to what different exercises you can preform with it so it gets a 3.

Good quality, light foam on all inner parts of headband, all black,

Makes an excellent home defense weapon as well with a weight attached.

Better Than Steroids (Paperback)
By Warren Willey

"Better Than Steroids" really unlocks the secrets to using FOOD as a drug. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to change their body, no matter what their goals may be. I have been using Dr. Willey's concepts with my personal training clients as well as myself for a few years. I have helped guide over 100+ people using the ideas and concepts in "Better Than Steroids" and have had nothing but success.

I am an accomplished amateur bodybuilder for 5 years now and Dr. Willey has guided my training and has taken eating to a whole new level. Drug free bodybuilding demands proper eating, whether you are bulking up or leaning down, and Dr. Willey has unmasked these secretes for the first time in any book.

Overall this is an easy read and touches on many subjects from water intake, different lifting programs as well as a vast variety of eating secrets that with a little dedication can change the body, mind and overall life of ANYONE.

I give it an A+.

The whole DVD being black and white was rather boring. Would have enjoyed it better in color. It's almost as if they use black and white to cover flaws in their physiques which was rather disappointing. Also, they keep repeating the same 3 phrases over and over...Come on Branch, please come up with something intelligent to say..ugh.

Ironmind: Stronger Minds, Stronger Bodies (Paperback)
By Randall J. Strossen

I believe Yogi Berra said something to the effect that "90% of the game is 50% mental." Strossen explores the mental aspects of weightlifting and weight training and guides the reader to a mindset for success. Strossen's analysis is literate, readable, entertaining, and educational. Having trained with weights for the better part of four decades, I have fallen into many of the errors Strossen discusses. I only wish I had read "Ironmind" at the beginning of my training career rather than the end.

Strossen quotes an interview of Buster Douglas shortly after Douglas defeated Mike Tyson. Interviewer: "Buster, you kept him at bay with double left jabs, you leveraged your height advantage and kept tagging him with rights, you tied him up, you maintained that delicate balance of constant pressure [etc., etc., etc.] Was that your strategy? Is that what you planned to do?" Douglas: "I planned to whip his ass." Douglas had the cultivated a mindset for success, and "Ironmind" can help you cultivate it, too, not only in athletics, but in almost any field of endeavor to which you apply its principles.

The Bodybuilder's Nutrition Book (Paperback)
By Franco Columbu

As a natural healthcare practitioner, I often refer to several textbooks to update and review for the benefit of my patients. I have come to rely on Dr. Columbu's knowledge as it applies to athletes. Yet, there is a point to which all persons can benefit from just a little of his principles. Seldom will you find a book recommending that the specific enzyme-containing foods required for proper breakdown and assimilation of other vital substances. As to the comment that the information on the macronutrients and micronutrients being outdated and nothing new, I must respond by replying that I do not often encounter persons who have a working knowledge of what nutrients are responsible for certain functions and the consequences of deficiencies. And the information he provides is just as useful today as it was in the book's first printing. We could all use a bit of a refresher course from time to time on basic nutrition. Glad to see Dr. Columbu reiterating the value of such information.

This is a great guide for those individuals who seek to bodybuild via real food and not via some of these synthetic powder drinks, for instance. Its a great nutritional assistant that provides lists of "do" and "don'ts" when comes to all the food groups and also explains how vitamins and supplements benefit our body. Its also a great source of some digestive concepts and information. Nutrition tables are also given for over 300 sources/items.

Bigger Leaner Stronger: The Simple Science of Building the Ultimate Male Body (The Build Healthy Muscle Series) (Kindle Edition)
By Michael Matthews

Overall I enjoyed this book. Mike has a pretty clear vision for what it takes to get muscley and the book contains quite a bit of information from workout techniques to diet to attitude. There is a lot of valuable information here and quite a bit of material is dedicated to debunking myths and building a more proven approach. I don't know that any of the ideas here are terribly groundbreaking, but Mike does claim that it is all backed up by the latest science, research, and personal experience.

Actually, for me, that's the first place the book falters. Mike claims that his approach is based on facts, not myths, but he fails to provide any references to research that supports his claims. For example, he states that you want to consume easily digested proteins right after your workout so your glycogen starved muscles will get the nutrient boost they need to grow. However, there are no references given to legitimate scientific studies to back up this claim. And if you do a little research on your own, it's not hard to find people who make reasonable arguments that totally refute it. I'm not saying that Mike's claims aren't backed by legitimate science (in fact I know that this particular claim is), however if Mike really wants to sell this stuff, references to actual studies must be included. As it is, there's too much "trust me, I know what I'm talking about" and "if I had a nickel for every time I've seen some guy to A, B, or C totally wrong". Why should I believe him? Just because he's saying I should? Personal experience and anecdotal evidence does not equal science or even a convincing argument.

The other problem I have with the book is that the layout really needs work.
