| Everlast Nylon Neck Developer Posted: Great product from Everlast. Haven't had any problems yet. In order to use the neck developer you must take it slow with smooth up and down neck movements. Do not jerk or cheat your movements. Here's a tip on fitting it for you:
The actual head band that goes around your head will be loose until you adjust the band that goes OVER your head. Use a light weight to try this first.
1. Sitting down, put the developer on normal with top band across the top of your head. Eyes straight ahead. 2. Hold chain and put on plate weight by inserting chain through hole in plate. 3. Holding the weight in your lap, hook chain to the other side of the developer. 4. Don't drop weight. Ease it down with one hand while holding top strap of developer with the other hand. As the weight goes down you'll feel the developer want to slip. Take your fingers on the top strap of developer and push the strap back as you lay your head down. 5. There should (may) be about an inch between the top strap and rear part of the head strap in back. As you push the top strap down you create added pressure from the developer to the back of your head as you release the weight. 6. That (the location of the top strap now on the back of your head and the weight of the plate) should hold the developer on and create a tight(er) fit. You'll feel it get tighter. 7. Now that your head is down and you are looking at the floor the top strap that went across the top of your head is now on the back of your head. Gently ease the weight up and don't jerk it. Obviously if you jerk the weight it will produce slack at the top of the movement with your eyes straight ahead and the product may loosen.
USe these steps and it WILL work.... Worked for me in high school and now, twenty something years later, it still works. Remember there's a lot of tendons in your neck so you don't have to use HEAVY weight. Save that for your arms, legs, and chest. This is a neck DEVELOPER.
Just setting the record straight on a GREAT product that has gotten a bad rep. |
